Amanda Cohen tweets a first peek inside the space that will soon become Dirt Candy 2.0. As she puts it, "It's really big. No more forced sitting on each other's laps!" Cohen is in the very first stages of moving her acclaimed vegetarian restaurant from its current teeny space to these bigger digs on the Lower East Side. The move likely won't happen until fall of 2015, but when it does a lot of new possibilities will open up for Dirt Candy, including lunch service, a full bar, and a chef's counter. Take a look at Cohen's preliminary floor plan, which was included in the liquor license application, for an idea of what this space might become:
