After finishing a meal at Per Se that started late, Immaculate Infatuation's Chris Stang and his friends were offered a tour of the kitchen, then they were brought to the front door. Here's Stang on this polite form of getting kicked out: "There seems to be this thing at Per Se where the staff acts like it's your privilege to be in their restaurant. Instead of a warm welcome, it feels more like you've been granted access to the king's palace, and they're worried that you're going to act like a commoner." [II]
