Dominique Ansel Announces Cronut Preorder System

Dominique Ansel has unleashed the official Cronut™ Preorder system of the Dominique Ansel Bakery on the world, making everyone's Monday a little sweeter. Could this be the end of the massive early-morning Cronut line? Probably not, but it does make the whole process a little more civilized. Now, in addition to the option of calling in a pre-order by phone at 11 a.m. on Monday mornings, Cronut seekers can submit orders online from the comfort of their warm homes and offices.

Of course, nothing is that easy when it comes to acquiring a Cronut. Even with the invention of this thoughtful system, there is still a wait period (at least a week). There is also still a limit on how many Cronuts a person can order at one time (six). And, once you have secured a Cronut pre-order, you still have to go to the store and be patient while the staff fetches your order. But all in all, the Cronut Preorder System will make the world a better, less hysterical place full of shorter lines and well rested people. The site is up and running as of today, but it is still in beta mode, so be prepared to run into a few snags as the kinks get worked out.
