This week's Hungry City column reviews Skal on the the Lower East Side. Ligaya Mishan calls the food "less abstract" than at fellow Nordic restaurant Aska: "Duck wings are meaty and smoky, almost pub food despite a drapery of seaweed and an underlay of pulverized mussels and squid ink." [NYT]
