Cucina Ciano, a Casual Uptown Italian Restaurant

The original location of Ciano abruptly closed back in April, but, true to his word, owner Stratis Morfogen opened a new iteration of his restaurant on East 78th Street this week. Shea Gallante, who earned strong reviews for his work downtown, is not involved with this new version, but his former sous chef Tin Huynh is now in charge of the kitchen. The menu includes several salads, pastas, and seafood dishes, as well as a pork chop and a seared chicken breast. The dining room has paintings by Hunt Slonem, but Morfogen and co-owner Unik Ernest plan to change the artwork seasonally. Cucina Ciano is now open for dinner.
