An Japanese import called Maid Cafe opened its first NYC outpost recently, where ultra-cute Japanese girls skip around with ultra-cute desserts and call their customers "master." Most unsettling, according to Gothamist: the clientele is "25 to 30-year-old men who are unafraid to admit that it was not, in fact, the Japanese curry that brought them there." [Gothamist]
