Status: Opening Tonight

Daniel Boulud's former director of public relations, Georgette Farkas, is planning to open her first-ever solo project, Rotisserie Georgette, this evening. Farkas and operations director Katina Pappas are working with chef David Malbequi, a veteran of both the Boulud and Tourondel empires, as well as La Silhouette and Prima. His menu of rustic French fare includes starters like foie gras with brioche and rhubarb chutney, roasted leeks with duck prosciutto, and gnocchi with a wild mushroom reduction. The entree list has two rotisserie chicken dishes — including one made with seared foie gras — plus a strip steak, Pekin duck breast, and a whole roasted fish for two. Rotisserie Georgette also offers large format lamb and baby pig dinners, both of which feed eight people and are priced at $450.

The space has a partially open kitchen, a row of banquettes along the edge of the dining room, and a bar up front. Farkas hopes to open for lunch, brunch, and delivery in the coming weeks. Check out the dinner menu below, and stay tuned for a tour of the space later this week.
