Eleven Madison Park recently changed the price of its tasting menu from $195 to $225. On his blog, The Price Hike, Ryan Sutton notes: "That's a 15 percent increase. So dinner for two, after wine pairings, tax and tip, will cost $954, up from $876." After crunching the numbers, Sutton determines that EMP is now New York's fifth most expensive restaurant.
Eleven Madison Park is one of only four New York restaurants in the esteemed Seven Star Club (three Michelin stars, plus four New York Times stars). EMP also has the highest ranking of all the New York restaurants on the prestigious S. Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list (number five). And it's the only restaurant in NYC with tableside carrot tartare service. The restaurant adopted the $195 price tag after its major menu overhaul last fall.
