Kingside, Marc Murphy's All-Day American Restaurant

Kingside, the newest addition to the growing Marc Murphy empire, opened on Monday in the Viceroy Hotel. It's a cavernous all-day New American restaurant, with a design by Roman + Williams that borrows from the look of a classic American diner. There are tiled walls and a checkerboard floor, long, plump banquettes and red leather stools at the counter of the open kitchen. The menu is a mix of American standards like a burger and roast chicken for two, plus a few Italian influenced items like porchetta with escarole and calf's brains with capers and lemon.
