Marc Murphy to Open Kingside in Midtown Next Week

Next week, empire-building chef Marc Murphy and the Gerber Group will open Kingside, an all-day New American restaurant in the Viceroy Hotel on West 57th Street. The design titans at Roman + Williams built the space, which has an open kitchen, black and white tile floors, mirrors on the walls, and lots of caramel-colored leather banquettes.

The menu is full of American crowd-pleasers, but it also includes several Italian-influenced dishes like porchetta with escarole, calf's brains with capers and lemon, and squash gnudi with Parmesan cheese. And, like a lot of restaurants these days, Kingside will serve entrees for two, raw bar items, charcuterie, and cheese plates.

Kingside is slated to open on Monday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here's a look at the dinner menu:
