Now in the final stage of its "transformation" project, Madison Square Garden just made three notable additions to its dining options, two of which involve Mexican food. La Esquina will have an outpost in the Garden Concourse, where it will serve several types of nachos, plus sides like grilled corn. But the real heavy-hitter is Jean-Georges Vongerichten's second Garden outpost (the first being Simply Chicken): Cocina Tacos by Jean-Georges. At this stand, expect tacos that, at least on paper, are exactly the same as the ABC Cocina tacos, with fillings like glazed short rib with habanero relish and frizzled onions.
Also new is Casa Nonna, a pizza operation from the BLT Restaurants. As the "official pizza vendor of The Garden," it will serve Neapolitan-style cheese, mushroom, and pepperoni pizzas from several quick-service kiosks.
