Bisutoro, Morimoto's Total Redo of Tribeca Canvas

Here's a look inside Masaharu Morimoto's Bisutoro, the brand new, top-to-bottom do-over of what was very recently known as Tribeca Canvas. After the unanimously underwhelming critical response to the old restaurant, Morimoto and his new set of partners, Patrick Fahey, Emmanuelle LaSalle Hill and Tommy Hill, have replaced the bright, woodsy interior with dark reds and browns, retro furniture and cityscape murals by street artist Charlie Doves. The menu too has undergone a shift, from Asian-influenced comfort food (like shrimp nachos) to Asian-influenced bistro food (like mushroom onion soup dumplings).
