Blue Ribbon's Isao Iijima IN at Neta in Greenwich Village

Blue Ribbon's Isao Iijima was just hired as the new head sushi chef at Greenwich Village hot spot Neta. Grub Street reports that Iijima will work alongside executive chef Michael Lim at the restaurant. Neta's super star opening chefs Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau left last month. The menu will be similar to what Kim and Lau served, but Iijima notes: "I'm traditional, but I have lots of ideas and we may try to bring some French influence in.'' Iijima starts on Monday.
