Just this past Friday, Suteishi became the latest hurricane-battered restaurant to finally make its full post-Sandy return. The South Street Seaport sushi restaurant has had its kitchen up and running since late December, and has been offering takeout and delivery since then. But it's taken until now to finish restoring the dining room, which was all but destroyed by the several feet of flooding that took out so many Seaport businesses.
As of this weekend, nearly a year after Hurricane Sandy, Suteishi is fully open for lunch and dinner. An employee says that they are serving a limited menu for now, but hopefully things should be fully operational again soon.
