Josh Capon & Guy Fieri Win the NYCWFF Burger Bash

Last night, Lure Fishbar's Josh Capon and real American hero Guy Fieri tied for the People's Choice award at the New York City Wine and Food Festival's Blue Moon Burger Bash. Capon was serving the same burger that helped him win this competition three times in the past, and Fieri was peddling a mac and cheese-topped something-or-other from his Times Square Donkey Sauce factory, Guy's American Kitchen. The Spikey One was working the crowd, hard, all night, so it's not surprising that he got a lot of tokens from the attendees.

Le Rivage's Paul Denamiel won the Judges' Favorite award, for his French onion soup burger, which he served with a side of Jacques Torres chocolates. A few other crowd favorites: Michael Lomonaco's surf 'n' turf slider, the peppery beef patty with green onions from Spice Market, the Shake Shack's SmokeShack, and Harold Moore's all-American burger from Commerce.
