Filippo Gozolli, the Italian chef that opened Sirio, is now in charge of the kitchen at A Voce Columbus, and Ben Lee, who previously worked at Marea, is running the show at A Voce Madison. Missy Robbins was the executive chef at both restaurants for several years, but she left the group last spring.
In other chef shuffle news, Michael Romano is stepping down from his full-time position as director of culinary development at Union Square Hospitality Group.
Romano is going to work as a culinary consultant, but a press release explains: "Michael will remain invested in USHG and will maintain involvement in select USHG projects and initiatives." Romano started with Danny Meyer's restaurant group 25 years ago as the second chef at Union Square Cafe. The announcement about his new role also notes: "Michael will remain actively involved with USHG's culinary role in Union Square Tokyo, and plans to divide his time between New York and Japan for other projects."
