From the Department of Actions Speak Louder than Words: Yesterday, Eater ran into hotelier Sean MacPherson on the heels of his somewhat unfortunate choice of words regarding Carbone in a Styles section piece this past Sunday. As the world turns, there are apparently no worries to be had on that front. That's because MacPherson tells Eater he's partnering with the Torrisi boys—Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi—and their parent company, Major Food, to develop a new restaurant for MacPherson's forthcoming hotel project, The Ludlow. The long-stalled project at 180 Ludlow Street, smack dab in the pulsating heart of the Lower East Side and purchased out of bankruptcy for $25 million by MacPherson and friends a few years back, is slated for a spring 2014 opening. Details, many more details, as they become available.
