Arthur on Smith Closes; Isidori Plans New Restaurants

Joe Isidori's Carroll Gardens Italian restaurant Arthur on Smith is now closed. Isidori opened this establishment about a year and a half ago with resto-blogger Bruce Buschel, his former partner at Montauk's Southfork Kitchen. Now, Isidori is working on opening a new, as-yet-unnamed restaurant in Soho, and a fast-casual restaurant. The chef tells Eater:

I signed a new restaurant deal in Soho...and I'm getting ready to do a fast-casual project as well. So, I figured I might as well focus my efforts a bit. I had an opportunity to sell Arthur, and we figured it was time to move on. It was time for me to get back to fine dining, and do food like Southfork Kitchen again.
