Checking in With the Sarge's Delicatessen in Murray Hill

The good news is that the sidewalk bridge is down. The bad news is that there's still a lot of work to be done on the dining room. A tipster sends in these pictures of the beloved Sarge's Delicatessen, which closed last November after a fire ripped through the building. In August, owner Andrew Wengrover told Eater that he was hoping for a late September/early October reopening, but now it looks like the restaurant's still got a few more months to go. Hopefully Sarge's will reopen by the end of the year.
