The Sandy Chronicles: Pulling Together, Drifting Apart

New, 2 comments

Here, now, is the second installment of The Sandy Chronicles, an Eater web series tracking the owners of three restaurants that were affected by Hurricane Sandy as they rebuild and reopen. In video above, Barbarini Alimentari restaurateur Linda Marini visits the Small Business Administration office to discuss loan money, and her husband Claudio talks about breaking up with their other business partners. Also in this clip, Almondine owner Hervé Poussot hosts a pop-up fundraiser with goods supplied by his friends in the restaurant community. And the video also follows the owners of Home/Made in Red Hook as they clean up their restaurant and prepare to reopen it for New Year's brunch.

This is an ongoing series — Eater will continue to track these three restaurants on camera until their post-Sandy stories have been told. Hit play on the video above to see Episode 2: Pulling Together, Drifting Apart.
