Metzgete at Trestle on Tenth; Whole Hog at Louro

CHELSEA ? The stylish Chelsea restaurant Trestle on Tenth is back with its sixth annual Metzgete, a traditional Swiss meat-fest. The meal of pork bits and charcuterie is available family-style or individually, and costs $26 a person. It starts this Thursday and runs through Saturday, January 19. [EaterWire]

WEST VILLAGE ? David Santos is hosting Pittsburgh chef Justin Severino, of the restaurant Cure, on January 14, as part of the ongoing Nonna Mesa Dinner Series at his West Village newcomer Louro. It's a whole hog butcher dinner, running $125 or $165 with a butcher demo beforehand. The butcher demo is Gael Greene approved but it sounds cool. MURRAY HILL ? A new kosher steakhouse called La Brochette is coming to the former home of La Carne Grille, another kosher steakhouse, on Lexington Avenue. It could open this Spring. [Commercial Observer]

LOS ANGELES ? Eater LA gets word that Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich, and Nancy Silverton are opening their fourth restaurant in LA. Details are scant right now, but it will be called chi SPACCA (which means "cleaver"), might feature the salumi of chef Chad Colby, and will open February 4. [Eater LA]
