The Sandy Chronicles: Rebuilding After the Storm

New, 4 comments

Here, now, is the third installment of The Sandy Chronicles, an Eater web series tracking the owners of three restaurants that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. In the video above, Linda and Claudio Marini say goodbye to their Seaport restaurant Barbarini Alimentari and look at spaces for their next project. Also in this clip, Almondine owner Hervé Poussot rebuilds his Dumbo bakery with money raised from a pop-up. And the video also follows Monica Byrne and Leisah Swenson of Home/Made in Red Hook, as they host a pop-up brunch for their loyal customers.

This is an ongoing series — Eater will continue to track these three restaurants on camera until their post-Sandy stories have been told. Hit play on the video above to see The Sandy Chronicles: Three Months.
