1) East Village: Details are scant right now, but a new place called El Diablito is coming to 60 East Third St., notes EV Grieve. Signage outside says it should open this spring. [PLYWOOD]

2) Upper East Side: In place of a shuttered froyo stand at 1585 Second Ave. in Yorkville is the incoming Crepe Corner and Wine Bar, writes DNAinfo. No details on projected opening date, but you can bet that this place will have crepes and wine. [PLYWOOD]
3) Washington Heights: DNAinfo also reports on a new coffee shop coming way uptown, called Taszo. Owner Haitem Weslati is a photographer who wants his café to have a community feel, with computers banned at all seats except at a central communal table. [PLYWOOD]

4) East Village: While it was briefly rumored that The Mermaid Inn would take over the Candela Candela space next door, that is most certainly not the case. Instead, Candela Candela's owners?who also own Hummus Shop on the LES?closed up shop on Sunday with plans to reopen it as as a new restaurant called Organika. The Local reports that it'll have organic wines and juices, as well as pizzas made with locally-sourced ingredients. It should open in three weeks. [PLYWOOD]

5) Harlem: The dearly-departed Upper West Side Turkish restaurant Savann is opening up at 2280 Frederick Douglass Blvd, per Harlem Condo Life. It was projected to open this month but appears delayed. [PLYWOOD]
