Stephen Starr to Take Over Dining at the Botanical Garden

New, 10 comments

Stephen Starr is taking his game up to the Bronx, announcing in a press release this morning that he's taking over the dining options at the New York Botanical Garden. The partnership will involve the revamp of both the Garden Café and the Visitor Center Café, in addition to taking over the catering and events duties there.

The catering side of things will bring dishes and cocktails from his other restaurants, like Buddakan, Morimoto, and Caffe Storico, to the Botanical Garden, and Starr will also do seasonal tented operations for events like the Orchid Show and oversee a number of street carts and kiosks scattered throughout the grounds.

Renovations will start on the Botanical Garden's dining areas later this year, with a planned reopening in the Spring of next year. In addition to this, Starr recently announced he's bringing his splashy Philly Mexican concept El Vez to Goldman Alley.
