McNally Sues Storage Facility Over Locked Up Wine Stash

New, 3 comments

Restaurateur extraordinaire Keith McNally is suing WineCare, a Chelsea storage company, because he has not been able to access his pricey stash of wine bottles since the facility was damaged by Hurricane Sandy. The Post learns that Keith "first requested, then demanded the return" of his wine back in November.

The lawsuit, which was filed yesterday, alleges that McNally has 1,600 bottles locked up at WineCare, including several "unique and not replaceable" bottles. The collection is worth an estimated $2 million, and the Post notes that the restaurateur "took an additional $1 million hit, presumably to cover the restaurants' demands for vino." The president of the company estimates that the facility won't return to normal operations until the spring.
