Former Mars Bar Space to Become Soulless Bank

It's been just 18 months since the legendary dive Mars Bar closed its doors so the building could be demolished to make way for new luxury apartments. The new tower has gone up very quickly and the owners recently put the retail space up for rent. For those hoping that some new version of Mars Bar would open, you can stop dreaming. Today the Cuozz reports that the space will now become a bank. Mars Bar owner Hank Penza had been looking at opening a new bar in the neighborhood, but nothing was ever finalized.
