Tree Fire at Cédric; Chef Collaboration at Speedy Romeo

HARLEM ? The South Harlem French restaurant Cédric closed recently, but signage suggests that it had to close because a Christmas tree behind the bar caught fire, with plans to reopen after a remodel. [Harlem Bespoke]

CLINTON HILL ? Speedy Romeo is starting a thing called the Chef Collaboration Pizza Project, where chef Justin Bazdarich will work with a different NYC chef to create a specialty. The first collab is with Tyler Kord of No. 7?it's a pizza with mussels, Brussels sprouts, fennel, Old Bay, and kaffir lime crust called the JCVD. TRIBECA ? Jake Dell of Katz's Deli, GQ critic Alan Richman, The Chew's Carla Hall, and Mo Rocca will be at an event at 92YTribeca for the launch of a website called The Beyond Bubbie Project.
