2013_1_ZiziLimona.pngLigaya Mishan reviews Zizi Limona in Williamsburg for this week's Hungry City review. On the braised oxtail: "The chef, Nir Mesika, 29, lets the oxtail's juices run down to a bed of cracked wheat and lattices the top with long, rough cuts of carrots, blackened nearly through. Somehow it tastes sticky but doesn't feel that way, a puzzling synesthesia. As you eat, you grow warm. It is sweet, you think, and then it isn't — but there it is again." [NYT]
