Smorgasburg's New Dumbo Location to Open This Sunday

New, 4 comments

The second location of the Brooklyn Flea's wildly successful food market Smorgasburg will open this Sunday, September 9 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Smorgasburg Dumbo will operate out of the landmark Tobacco Warehouse, a 25,000-square-foot roofless structure on the waterfront just north of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The 75 vendors will be a mix of already established Williamsburg food operations and new, lesser-known purveyors. Eric Demby, co-founder of the Brooklyn Flea, tells the New York Times, "A lot of our vendors have been selling one day a week and they're right at the stage where they can quit their jobs and invest in new equipment, so this one is specifically to help those folks grow."

Smorgasburg Dumbo will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays through November 18.
