Edi & the Wolf Team to Open The Third Man This Fall

Eduard Frauneder and Wolfgang Ban, the guys behind hit Austrian restaurant Edi & The Wolf, are planning to open a new cocktail bar in Alphabet City this October. Named after the 1949 Vienna-set Orson Welles vehicle, The Third Man's food program will focus on Austrian-style small plates. In the former Lava Gina space, it'll be a fairly small, 15 seat affair. The décor is inspired by Vienna's Loos Bar, complete with "floating" steel bar hanging from the ceiling.
