Closed by DOH, Malaga Restaurant Goes on 'Vacation'

Sure, there's a chance this is just a coincidence, but more likely this is just a really misplayed attempt at DOH denial. Taken by a tipster earlier this week, this photo is of the Upper East Side tapas restaurant Malaga, which was closed on August 25 after racking up 77 points in a DOH inspection (for things like live mice and "inadequate personal cleanliness"), coincidentally going on vacation around the same time.

Malaga was allowed to reopen this week after a much less indicting inspection on Tuesday, though their phone message still says they'll be closed for vacation "until September 5."
