Yelp Wanted

2012_09_yelp.jpgA study done by two Berkeley economists has found that Yelp reviews are now capable of making or breaking a restaurant. The study tracked the reservation availability of 328 San Francisco restaurants from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and discovered that a "half-star improvement on Yelp's 5-star rating makes it 30-49% more likely that a restaurant will sell out its evening seats." This comes as bad news for the Stratford Diner in Stratford NJ, and worse news for humanity in general. [Eater National]
