Crackdowns

2012_09_bikes.jpgThe NYC Department of Transportation is cracking down on restaurants and their delivery cyclists. Come January 2013, a strict list of rules for commercial bicyclists — including the observance of one-way streets and the mandatory use of a helmet, headlights, taillights, a business ID card, and reflective devices — will be enforced. If a delivery person is spotted violating one of the rules by a DOT inspector, the restaurant will be issued a ticket. [Transportation Nation]
