Dosa Hunt, the documentary that follows a group of indie music people on a quest for New York City's best dosas, is set to premiere next weekend. The 22-minute film features band members from Das Racist, Vampire Weekend, Yeasayer, and Neon Indian, as well as the editor of the website Stereogum, as they cruise around town in a van looking for good food.
Dosa Hunt premieres next Friday, October 5, at Nighthawk Cinema in Williamsburg, with screenings Friday and Saturday nights, with a matinee on Monday. Tickets are $15 a pop and include dosas and samosas from Anjappar, plus Kingfisher beer, a Q & A, and dancing.
The true premiere on Friday is booked, but tickets are still available online for the Saturday and Monday screenings.
