WILLIAMSBURG ? New Orleans-influenced oyster and cocktail bar Maison Premiere is launching a new beverage menu tonight. The new menu features a new section of Royales, which are cocktails made with sparkling wine. Check it out at the bottom of this post. [EaterWire]

DUMBO ? Baohaus chef Eddie Huang is teaming up with Grantland editor Jay Caspian King tomorrow night. At 7 p.m. at the powerHouse Arena in Dumbo, Kang will present his novel The Dead Do Not Improve while Huang will read excerpts from his memoir, due to come out in January. SPAIN RIOT WIRE ? The owner of a café in Madrid has become an internet phenomenon for standing up to riot police yesterday. The man, Alberto Casillas, allowed people demonstrating against the government of Prime Minister Mariono Rajoy to seek refuge in his restaurant after helping a boy who was beaten by police.
