Here's a look around The Flatiron Room, a cocktail lounge and music venue on 26th Street that opened at the end of last week. Principal bartender Miguel Aranda, formerly of Daniel and Apotheke, has created a list of classic cocktails, and the bar is stocked with over 500 whiskeys (the space also features lockers where guests can leave their favorite whiskey bottles).
The food menu includes snacks like cheese and charcuterie plates, Scotch eggs, oysters, roasted bone marrow, and braised short ribs. The owners of The Flatiron room plan to host live musicians on the stage in the back, as well as whiskey classes in the tasting room upstairs. The Flatiron Room is now open nightly, from 5 p.m. till 2 a.m.
