Pomodoro Pizzeria, Bar Stuzzichini, and More Shutter

1) East Village: In the last week, two different pizzerias within a block of Nicoletta have shuttered. EV Grieve has been all over it, reporting the shutters of Plum Pizza and Pomodora. The latter will apparently become an "Italian-French fusion" restaurant. [EV Grieve]

2) Carroll Gardens: One-year-old vegan-friendly café Mandy's Health Café and Juice Bar shuttered a little while back. [Carroll Gardens Patch]

3) Yorkville: Upper East Side deli Hungarian Meat Market has shuttered for good. It was damaged by a fire last June and though the owners vowed to reopen, they still haven't done so. The website now says that a return is "unforeseen" and the space is currently up for lease. [Lost City]

4) Midtown East: Tiny Turkish takeout restaurant Bi Lokma has shuttered. It was opened last February by the owners of Sip Sak. [Zagat Buzz]

5) Brooklyn Heights: Italian soup and sandwich spot Catania Café closed for vacation this summer, but now it's become clear that it will not reopen. The restaurant's contents were apparently auctioned off yesterday. [Grub Street]

6) Flatiron: Bar Stuzzichini at 928 Broadway has shuttered, being replaced at least through Oktoberfest by a pop-up offshoot of Brooklyn German restaurant Buschenschank. Stuzzichini's sister restaurant Pane Panelle in Tribeca also shuttered recently. [MadParkNews]

7) Upper West Side: Kosher pizza shop Mike's Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen closed, to make way for a "burger bar." [Koshertopia]
