Earlier this week, vandals broke into Lansky's Old World Deli on the Upper West Side and ripped the place apart. They stole money from the register, destroyed all the computers, broke the plates, cut up the banquettes, and scrawled anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls. Police are investigating the crime, and owner David Ruggerio hopes to reopen the restaurant tonight. [WSR, NYP]
