Eater Test Kitchen rolled into Morpheus Media yesterday afternoon with unique cocktails and decadent bites prepared by Raines Law Room. The cocktail menu featured the "Wildest Redhead," a Scotch, honey, all-spice, lemon juice, and cherry heering concoction, and the "Self-Starter," a gin, dry vermouth, apricot liquer, and absinthe rinse. Both went down smoothly with the chicken liver and foie gras parfait, wild mushroom ragout on puff pastry, smoked mackerel, and chilled mussel gazpacho. Big thanks to Meaghan Dorman and Yves Jadot of Raines, who also supplied some great raffle prizes, including gift certificates to sister restaurants Petite Abeille and Jones Wood Foundary—and, of course, to the good folks at Morpheus.
