Yesterday, a 43-year-old New York man was sentenced for up to 56 years in prison for a series of restaurant break-ins that involved tunneling through walls to get into places like Kyotofu in Hell's Kitchen. Of course, the burglar's lawyer says reports have been grossly exaggerated: "He was not Sonic the Hedgehog." But he will be going to jail. [NYT]
