A second Connecticut location of Shake Shack opens its doors today in New Haven on Chapel Street near the New Haven Green. Danny Meyer was in town last night for a preview party where he told guests that "We did not parachute a preconceived concept into New Haven. We designed [Shake Shack] of its place." The new outpost will pay homage to Yale with the Handsome Dog (Yale's Mascot is Handsome Dan) and concretes like the Boola Boola Blue. [YDN, Daily Meal]
