The New Beatrice Inn Set to Open on September 15

The reincarnated Beatrice Inn is in its final days of construction after months of rumored openings. Earlier today, an employee told Eater that the restaurant will open on or around September 15. Principal owner Emil Varda and his partners, including Monkey Bar and Waverly Inn owner Graydon Carter, plan to make the new Beatrice Inn a comfortable neighborhood chop house, more like the Italian-American restaurant that was originally in the space, and less like the raucous A-list hotspot that was shut down in 2009. "Democracy will be the order of the day at the Beatrice," Carter told the New York Post in May, "Most tables will be available on a first-come, first-seated basis." There will be a published phone number and there will be an OpenTable page.
