Bait & Hook, Cocoron Soba Shop, and More Now Open

1) Lower East Side: LES soba shop Cocoron opened a second location in the neighborhood this weekend, according to Zagat Buzz. The shop is open for lunch and dinner every day except Mondays. Status: Certified Open; 37 Kenmare St., (212) 966-0800.

2) Midtown: The former owner of Artichoke Café opened Ramini Espresso Bar across the street from the closed sandwiches-and-salads spot. The espresso bar, featuring the macarons that were popular at Artichoke, opened today, according to Midtown Lunch. Status: Certified Open; 267 W 37th St.

3) Soho: Grub Street reports that Angolo Soho opened at the end of last week in the former South Houston space. By chef Michael Berardino (formerly of the Cannibal and Dell'Anima), the menu features regional dishes from across Italy. Open for dinner nightly. Status: Certified Open; 53 Grand St., (212) 203-1722.

4) Gramercy: The new operation in the former Meatball Factory space, Bait & Hook, is now open, Grub Street also reports. The menu covers the gamut from lobster and shrimp rolls, to crab cakes, to fried seafood platters, to fish tacos, and seafood pizzas, with some more substantial main courses.
