Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining events going on around the city:

When: Today, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Governor's Island
What: New York's ultimate pig fest returns to Governor's Island today. 25 chefs will cook up 80 hogs, serving up dishes like tacos, Thai skewers, fancy hot dogs, and oh so much more. The chefs include Dale Talde (Talde, Pork Slope), John Stage (Dinosaur BBQ), Anthony Sasso (Casa Mono), Jimmy Carbone (Jimmy's No. 43), George Weld (Egg, Parish Hall), and Danny Mena (Hecho en Dumbo). Tickets are $85 and include food, beer, wine, and some special ciders. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Food Systems Network NYC, Earth Matter, and Kingsborough Community College.

When: Today through closing on Monday
Where: Fatty Crab
What: The Fatty Crew says goodbye to the UWS location of Fatty Crab on Monday. To commemorate the good times, they're offering an all-day-all-night happy hour extravaganza. The "Fatty Hour" will feature drink specials, including $5 Tsing Taos, $6 Malaysian Margaritas, and an $8 Recession Special (PBR, shot of whiskey and pickle-back). All other specialty cocktails will be $8, and mixed drinks will be $6.

When: Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Governor's Island
What: Close out the summer season with a day of food and beer on Governor's Island. There will be food vendors galore, live music, and a beer garden courtesy of Sixpoint Brewery. Expect to drink specialty craft beers, sangria, and soft drinks while chowing down on food from the likes of Jimmy's No. 43, La Newyorkina, Rickshaw Dumpling, and Pop Karma. Tickets are $20 if bought in advance, or $5 at the door, and include three drinks. Food is pay-as-you-eat.

When: Today, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Washington Street and 13th Street
What: UrbanSpace, the pop-up market from the people behind Dekalb Market, opens today under the Highline. There will be a mix of over 65 food and fashion vendors, including Asia Dog, 4Food, Hot Blondies, The Soft Serve Fruit Co., PASTE, and Nanako.

When: Today, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Brooklyn Tap House
What: The massive beer hall Brooklyn Tap House will bring their Makossa Brooklyn Cookout daytime party series to a close this afternoon on their outdoor patio. D.J.s will be spinning tunes, the beer will be flowing, and there will be copious amount of barbecued goods. Admission is free, just pay as you drink.

2012_05_smorgasburgAlso of Note: Smorgasburg is on for today, but the Hester Street Fair and the New Amsterdam Market are both closed this weekend in honor of Labor Day.
