This nondescript storefront, apparently the former location of Arc Interiors Inc, is the future home of the Booker and Dax workshop, wherein Team Momofuku will experiment with all of the things they simply can't at the bar proper. There will be technology galore, allowing Dave Arnold and company to experiment on the drinks side with a test bar and kitchen, and on the engineering side with a workshop.
When Eater stopped by earlier today, Arnold was there and gave a quick tour around. It's still mostly plywood, and all told, the space is tiny. The workshop is taking residence in a downstairs space, so there will not be any kind of public bar component to this. But the upstairs space with the test bar and office will be done by September, so maybe drinkers will see the fruits of Arnold's labor at Booker and Dax sometime this fall.
