Maccioni And His Boys Travel to Italy to Prep for Sirio

This fall, Sirio Maccioni will open a new restaurant called Sirio in the space that formerly housed clubby London import Le Caprice. This project is going to be more casual than Le Cirque, and the menu will focus on the food of Tuscany. It's the second location of a restaurant that he originally opened in Vegas. Adam Tihany is designing a dining room that will be inspired by Italy in the '60s. One wall will feature old photos of Sirio with his customers.

Recently, Maccioni took his family and some of the kitchen crew to Italy to do some taste testing. Sirio's son Mauro put pictures of their food adventure on Facebook, for all the world to see.
