The Lights Are Off and Nobody's Home at Hotel Griffou

New, 4 comments

Back in June, news broke that the original owners of Hotel Griffou had left the project, and a new team of operators had moved in with plans to change things around. Looks like they didn't get very far. Griffou has been closed for several days now. The restaurant's OpenTable page is dead, calls go to message, and the answering machine is full. The team might be taking a break while they plan a new concept in the space, but for now it looks like Hotel Griffou is dunzo.

The restaurant went through several staff shuffles over the years, and it eventually became known as a place for drinking, not eating. As you may recall, Pete Wells did not like his meal at Griffou when he visited as interim critic back in 2009.
