Since it shuttered in April, rumors have been circulating about what would fill the space that was formerly Lakeside Lounge. Today Bowery Boogie gets word that the new establishment will be a "beautiful but comfortable bar with a rock & roll vibe," called Blackbird. There won't be any live music but it will be owned by Lakeside Lounge partner Laura McCarthy. [Bowery Boogie]
