Just days after the world learned of it, Jay-Z and the other owners of the 40/40 Club have dropped their lawsuit against the club's former chef, the Post reports. Which means the chef, Mike Shand, gets to hang onto that chicken wing spice mix recipe that was reportedly at the heart of the lawsuit. (In other news, if that spice mix is really worth $1.5 million, Shand needs to open up a wing shack immediately.)
So could this have ended in a more underwhelming way? As it turns out, yes. Shand's lawyer tells the Post that they may sue the club for defamation of character and for the return of some of his possessions still at the club, including a laptop. According to the court records, the demand was only for $500,000, significantly less than Page Six reported.
