It's not quite looking close to completion, but work is certainly ongoing at FP Patisserie, the Upper East Side concept from master pastry man Francois Payard. Payard hopes to have the project open by mid- to late-October. It'll be a multi-part affair, with a boutique for Payard's pastries, a coffee and wine bar with pastry service, and a 40 seat salon de thé with prix fixe lunch and brunch. This, along with the recent opening of Eric Kayser's first US project, means that quality baked goods are about to get a whole lot more plentiful on the Upper East Side.
